About Melanie Phillips
I’ve lived with multiple sclerosis (MS) for 20 years, and for most of that time, the disease didn’t have a significant impact on my daily life. However, everything changed in 2020. The past five years have been incredibly challenging, and by 2024, I found myself medically retired. My career as an investigator was both rewarding and stressful, but when I retired in my 40s, I knew it was time to pivot and find fulfillment in a new direction. Now, I co-facilitate my local MS support group, where I find great satisfaction in connecting with others who are also affected by MS. It has been a rewarding experience to offer support, share stories, and learn from those walking similar paths. I’m grateful for the chance to share my thoughts on living with MS, and I look forward to continuing this journey of growth, connection, and self-discovery.
