Multiple Sclerosis affects people in many ways. It can rob you of your mobility, cognitive function, sight, pretty much anything your brain controls. It is often a demeaning disease. That’s why stories of people overcoming their obstacles are so inspiring.
Check out this article on Yahoo Lifestyle about how five people took their diagnosis and changed their lives for the better, including our very own David Lyons.
John Marcy joined the extended MSFC team in 2015 as web developer, serving as a consultant and managing site changes. As owner of the design firm 3HORN MEDIA, John serves clients large and small from as far away as Hong Kong. Wearing many hats himself, including graphic designer and marketing manager, John, through his virtual agency, brings in outside talent to match his clients’ specific design needs. John earned his bachelor of science degree from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, focusing on technical graphics, CAD drafting, technical illustration, desktop publishing and graphic design. Having built websites since before the internet was cool, John continually expands his expertise through the simple motto, “there is nothing I can’t do, only things I haven’t done yet.”
Diagnosed with MS in 2004, the disease slowly robbed him of the physical activities he enjoyed. But since meeting David, and seeing all the wonderful accomplishments of other MSers, John realized there was another way to manage this disease.
